These are rough estimates, as prices vary if you buy in an area too expensive.
New Delhi, with a bottle of oil costs about 100 rupees. Olive oil is cheaper and the variety of very sophisticated, it is not suitable for cooking because it has a very low smoke and becomes a cancer cell. so you can one gallons around 100 rupees. Peanut oil is almost the same. the healthiest oil in India is usually sesame oil and mustard seeds.

Wheat flour is around Rs 200-300 per bag of 10 kg.

dal is usually about 50 rupees per kilogram, a little.

I assume that things are more expensive in other areas, if you have a shop you will find good. The same item in a store smaller area cost almost double. If you are a foreign tourist is better for businesses that have already marked are the prices.

Typically about 100 rupees $ 2.20USD, but the dollar and the rupee has become so volatile right.

If you are a family of four and want to be in style and luxury, their weekly living costs for food, are $ 10 - $ 20 or less.

This is everywhere in India. the average is only $ 10 per week.
