All these reactions are not specific to one degree or another.
Do not use something that looks like a shoe with any kind of kimono. If you wear a yukata, you can wear geta, which are mainly wooden sandals with a strap made of fabric: http://www.japanese-room.com/assets/own/ ...
Geta too many other possibilities. The share of wood in my two partners: http://www.karankoron.com/images_geta/ge ... No need to wear socks with shoes.
For other types of kimono, you are wearing socks called tabi split finger (http://store.japan-zone.com/images/appar ...). Usually, you want Tabi know, but sometimes you can use colored or patterned kimono tabi with very informal. They want a kind of home advantage zori sandals from a variety of different materials such as leather and vinyl. These women are zori: http://web-japan.org/nipponia/nipponia21 ... zori men tend to be similar, but are more likely to be predominantly larger, is not so high heels, and do not believe that the belt is usually either patterned.
<br"I see people Geta things all the time, replacing high-heeled sandals, shoes or belts. Opinions differ as to whether or not it is appropriate to very different, but I have to follow the example of Japan in this regard. I saw some Japanese girls wear high heels with a yukata (instead of geta), so I think if you can adapt immediately to her. There is really no substitute for good zori, especially but not for use with computers formal kimono. There are many rules of kimono and exercise is not a good idea to break, especially when you get to wear, kimono. Geta and zori you can buy second hand from places like Ichiroya, yamatoku, Ryu Japan, kimono, Lily, and eBay (only eBay on respect, there is a large amount of waste with the good things, there are mixed below). You can get new customers and often Zipangu Treasures. Just be warned, zori can be very expensive if you buy a new one. How do you use Zori socks, I recommend you invest a little good Tabi (probably not spend more than $ 20 per couple, and the THA, often much lessn,) and a good second hand pair of zori.
